World leader in rheological instrumentation and services has an opportunity available for a Director, Sales & Marketing for their Rheology.
Responsibilities:
The Director of Sales will manage Technical Sales Representatives in the sales of laboratory instrumentation used in a wide range of industries including biotechnology, commercial plastics, defense, petroleum, coatings, cosmetics and personal care products and government and academic laboratories.
The Director, Sales & Marketing will also be responsible for the sales of rheology and surface potential analysis products and services throughout North America.
Primary responsibilities include management of the sales force, developing new markets and developing marketing and sales strategies
The successful candidate must have strong written and oral communication skills, strong negotiating skills and the ability to interact favorably with customers.
Ability to lead and manage a sales team is critical
Frequent overnight travel is required, approximately 25%.
Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will possess a B.S. degree in Engineering, Physics or similar field, experience in Business and Marketing concepts
Minimum of 5 years of sales management experience in scientific instrumentation or equipment
Prior rheology sales experience is a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
