The Role: Xylem seeks to hire a Sales Representative to support our Aftermarket installed base in Maryland and Virginia. This driven team member will market and promote Flygt and other Xylem products to existing and new customers in the Municipal, Construction, and Industrial Markets.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
+ Work with local end-users, operators, plant/utility manager or director, and consulting engineers to meet or exceed customer pumping needs by utilizing Flygt products.
+ Conduct, lunch and learn presentations to inform customers of latest Flygt products.
+ Attend trade shows and local industry association meetings.
+ Act as a liaison between the operations/ maintenance departments and engineering departments within a commercial municipal customer site to ensure better station design utilizing Flygt products.
+ Monitor bid boards for opportunities and work with inside sales staff on job quotations.
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
+ Bachelor?s Degree in Business or Engineering (Mechanical or Civil)
+ 2+ years of technical sales or sales related experience (pump industry preferred) in the _Commercial/Municipal markets_ .
+ This position will require overnight travel within the assigned territory.
+ Individual must possess a valid driver?s license with good driving record, have a high mechanical aptitude, superior customer service, computer and presentation skills, and have solid logical troubleshooting capability.
+ Underground construction experience is a plus.
+ Experience with pumps, mixers, electrical controls, hydraulics, and ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics is a plus.
Physical Demands:
+ Light lifting (20-25 lbs.), office environment
+ Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about the facility
Work Environment:
+ Office: Standard office equipment; work usually performed in an office setting free from any disagreeable elements.
+ Standard weekly job hours: 40 hours
+ Travel: 50%

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
